No Trains Friday 15th September, but running – Sat/Sun 16th & 17th

BOIVR apologises but trains will not running on Friday 15th September due to team building trip with our volunteers, staff and partners.

But we’ll be back in action on Saturday and Sunday, 16th & 17th September

Trains depart 10am, 12 noon and 2pm from Kawakawa Railway Station.
No need to book – but please arrive about 15 minutes before the trains depart to give time to purchase tickets from the station platform shop.

Trains are also being used to “join the 3km gap” in the Twin Coast Cycleway, Horeke – Opua route (Gold coin Koha)
It is a 1½ hours return journey of beautiful countryside and river views on the oldest line in North Island, the only one running through a main street in NZ. Trains are now travelling over the longest curved wooden bridge in the Southern Hemisphere.
